Iceland Roads

Advertising Disclosure

The short version: some links earn us a commission, they are always labeled, and money never touches the data.

Affiliate links. Some pages on Iceland Roads - mainly the guides - contain links to partners such as car rental marketplaces or tour operators. If you book through one of these links, the partner pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and prices are the same as going direct.

Car rental affiliates. The Blue Car Rental and Go Car Rental links on this site run through Dream Travel Iceland’s existing partner accounts. Iceland Roads places the links; Dream Travel Iceland receives the commission.

Always labeled, always before the click. Every commercial block is marked “Affiliate” at the top, above the links rather than in a footnote under them, and every commercial link carries the sponsored nofollow attributes search engines expect. If it isn't labeled, it isn't paid - plain links to official sources, rental companies, or other sites are just links.

Money never touches the data. Road conditions, weather, the should-you-go rating, F-road status, and every safety surface on this site come from official Icelandic sources and our own recorded readings. No advertiser can pay to change, reorder, or soften any of it, and commercial content never appears inside alerts or safety warnings.

Our recommendations are ours. Guides recommend what we would tell a friend, including when the answer is “you don't need the bigger car” or “take the bus”. Partners are chosen after the advice is written, not before.
