Getting there

The same Golden Circle roads as Gullfoss: Route 35, about 9 km before the waterfall. Free parking across the road from the geothermal field, by the shops and restaurants. The area is open year-round at all hours, and Strokkur erupts every 5–10 minutes regardless of the season - early mornings and evenings beat the midday coach crowds.
