Turn off Route 1 onto Route 215 just west of Vík - a paved 5 km spur ending at the beach car park (paid) and café. Critical safety note: Reynisfjara's sneaker waves are genuinely deadly and reach far up the beach without warning. Stay well back from the waterline, never turn your back on the sea, and respect the warning-light system at the entrance.
